Applications of nanobubbles in Aquaculture

Aquaculture is one of the sectors most susceptible to benefit from nanobubbles. Previously, water was continuously flowed through the system, but with the introduction of nanobubbles, the water is consistently kept clean, allowing for the implementation of a Recirculating Aquaculture System (RAS).

Eels prefer warm water, so it was continuously heated with oil heaters. However, with the transition to a circulating system, energy efficiency has significantly improved. The following improvements have been confirmed by a third-party organization:

  • Rearing Density: Increased by 5 times

  • Fuel Cost: Reduced by 80%

  • Electricity Consumption: Reduced by 25%

  • Poor Growth Rate: Improved from 17% to 8%

  • Sludge Generation: Reduced by 75%

This has made organic production possible. Achieving such significant improvements, especially in eel farming, which is known to be challenging due to water contamination, has been a crucial achievement for us among various aquaculture operations.
